A squad name is only text, so the game decides what it keeps. Decorative symbols are ordinary Unicode characters; what gets a name actioned is what it says, as explained in are symbol names bannable. Frames for shorter tags are listed under clan tag symbols.

It is the name your squad uses, often written as a short tag with symbols around it. We could not check a published list of accepted symbols, so test a name in the game field before you commit.
Do squad names need symbols?
No. Plain names work everywhere; symbols only change how the name looks, and some fields refuse them.
